ClInthudi van lbaniallienste kan so help Tehoefte aan vertroue' Die behoefte aan vertroue in die banksektor was nog nooit so groot as vandag nie, veral omdat oorsese banke onlangs ineengestort het, se Reana Steyn, ombud van bankdienste. Steyn se dit dra by tot verbruikers se kommer en spanning oor die terugbetaling van hul skuld nadat rentekoerse skerp gestyg het, asook die hoer lewenskoste. "Daar is meer as ooit tevore 'n gevoel dat verbruikers banke nodig het waarop hulle kan staatmaak. Hulle het banke nodig wat toeganklik is en wat in staat is om hulle by te staan in tye van ekonomiese krisis. Verbruikers moet vertrou dat hul bank in hul beste belang en volgens hul verwagtinge sal optree."
